Happy Valentine’s Day, Dear Reader!

Although celebrating Love but one day a year is better than nothing, we have a terrific key to celebrate Love at any time of any day…let’s just visit a few of our partner museums!

No one really knows what will happen when two or more people court the Art Experience. These are stories from those who experienced something extraordinarily wonderful and completely unexpected while reflecting, recollecting and sharing their experience when viewing museum artwork.

Carmen’s mother had been in the doldrums for weeks and asked that we visit with the Virtual Museum ArtBook. The whole family enjoyed courting the Art Experience for about an hour, and daughter Carmen was gracious enough to agree to an interview immediately after the session. This short, powerful video reveals not only how her mother suddenly came out of the doldrums, but how the morale of the entire family was boosted. Carmen awakened in herself an appreciation for art she had forgotten and concluded with a date to visit The Dallas Museum of Art.

Jeremy the Volunteer tells the tale of how “Oscar the Grouch” resolved a deep-seated issue while viewing this Winslow Homer at The Phillips Collection.  Without saying a word, our WWII veteran was “kissed on the forehead by a pretty girl” and escaped his constant bad mood, much to the delight of the volunteers and staff at the Dallas VA.

Overwhelmed by unexpected love was Sammy while visiting the Met and courting the Art Experience.  Inspired by this Tucker snow scene, Sammy relished sharing about his grandmother, childhood and snow.  As he was revitalized beyond imagining, Sammy’s wife almost didn’t recognize him when she came home!

Leroy relived one of the greatest adventures in his life while courting the Art Experience at the Kimbell Art Museum.  Van Ruisdael’s rough sea had nothing on Leroy’s!

Patricia found God and Daddy smelled the fresh air at Crystal Bridges.

So, there you have it.  Love conquers all, and sharing the Art Experience sparks it!

In parting, we leave you with this joyful image from Crystal Bridges:
